What kind of paint would you use to paint a heater vent?

i have a wall heater that is an ugly metal color, i want to paint it to match the wall. does it matter what kind of paint i use? obviously paint is flammable while wet but is there any that is not safe around heat?What kind of paint would you use to paint a heater vent?

Just make sure what you get will stick to metal. Also get a primer so it won't chip. I used wall paint on mine, pretty ridiculous when it started chipping, but at least it peeled off easy.
No, spray paint works best, but prime it first..
