I am a professional painter. I have always liked light green walls with creamy white cabinets. Now that may not go in your home's flow. Maybe a darker cabinet would work. You will know.





As for the beige walls, well the cabinet color possibilities are endless depending on the color flow in your home and your personal likes.


You could paint the cabinets a deep red or a dark brown/black.


TYou could even paint the cabinets mint green and have taupe on the walls.





First, look through kitchen pics and narrow the possibilities down as to what looks nice to you.





Then take ake your time selecting colors in the color family that you like. Bring lots of color samples home with you and look at them in the light of your kitchen.





I would also like to add that prepping your cabinets is the most important part of the job if you want the paint to lat and look good.





Removing the doors first is an option. Either way, do not paint over the hinges. Remove the handles before painting.


If they are stained/varnished, you will have to sand (fine sandpaper)them well to rough up the surface and remove the shine. You do not have to sand till you reach bare wood, just enough to rough them up good.





Then apply 1 or 2 coats of a good quality primer, I use Kilz2. If one coat does not cover good, do a second coat. Allow to dry well between coats.


Then finish with a good quality semi-gloss waterbase paint in your color choice. A light color may cover in 1 coat over the primer, a dark color will need 2 coats. Allow to dry well beween coats. 2 lighter coats works etter than 1 thick coat.





If they are already painted, rough them up with fine sandpaper, prime if necessary then paint as above.

A deep chocolate brown would great with either one color. That would be really nice. It would bring a warm, modern feel into the room...I call it ';Choco Modern Sexy';!
