What kind of paint would you suggest when painting a rusty fridge?

My fridge used to be white but now it's got lotsa rush patches.

I heard a lot of those paints, just peel and chip away. do you know of any really good brands that have worked well for you?

Thanks (the cheaper the better)What kind of paint would you suggest when painting a rusty fridge?
How old is the fridge? If it is more than 10-15 years old a new fridge will pay for itself in energy savings within just a few years. Rustoleum makes a spray on paint specifically for appliance use. The product name is ';Rust-Oleum Specialty Appliance Epoxy';. I haven't used this specific product but I have used other Rustoleum products and they are usually very good.

Check out the web page at: http://www.rustoleum.comWhat kind of paint would you suggest when painting a rusty fridge?
The absolute best would be an ex-poxy enamel, but it runs about $100.00 a gallon.
Yes, rustoleum is the best as far as cheapest, and can be purchased here at the 'dollar stores' for spray paint if you can do it that way. Also check out the 'farm implement' paints for durability. You probably should use very fine steel wool (000# I believe it is) and try to get some of the rust off first. Good luck!
Any paints for metal such as Rustoleum or Tremclad should work fine.

Follow the directions on the can to the T and it should work well.

Neither are that expensive.I've even painted outdoor articles with these paints and they've lasted fine.

Not sure which country you are in but in the UK there is a paint specifically for rust called Hammerite. It is recommended for fridges, etc.
I had this same problem and went to an Ace Hardware Store. They have spray paints made especially for appliances there and probably do in any good hardware store. It worked for me. Just be certain to clean the surface of your fridge and use only this type of paint.
