What type of paint should I paint my electric guitar with?

And how should I paint it? Spray paint? Brush?

I don't want links to vidoes or other sites.

My guitar is a yellow sunburst Vantage Stratocaster copy. What type of paint should I paint my electric guitar with?
You can buy a brush on lacquer. A good quality brand won't leave brush marks. What type of paint should I paint my electric guitar with?
I am not sure but paint and varnish will affect the sound of an instrument so get it right before you attempt it.

Ask another guitar enthusiast, and a thin coating applied twice is better than one thick coating.

Do you know what the instrument was painted with by the manufacturer. Find out if you can.
don't do it unless you know what you are doing.

if you do it, do it on a guitar that is not valuable.

use a spray paint from reranch.com they specialize

in painting guitars. they sell their paints and give

on their site.

use a nitrocellulose lacquer. don't go out and by a can of rustoleum from lowes and expect to get a quality mirror Finnish.and don't use a polyurethane lacquer or paint.

don't say you don't want a link to a website

last time i told someone how to do it on hear

i ended up writing a one page essay on painting guitars.

Laquer is the Best. But if you doing this at Home, that may be difficult for you. Do NOT Brush it. Use a Spray. It will give a better smoother finish. Then spray a poly over it when you achieve the desired look to seal and to give it a nice feel and look.
You're going to want to look at some books. I painted my guitar with the help of a book. I think the book is Everything you need to know about finishing your own guitar. You can search for it on stewart macdonald on google.
