I have a kitchen with ceramic tile that is a sick grey color. I've remodeled the kitchen and the grey ceramic tile floor just doesn't go well. I'd like to paint it but have no idea what paint to use or if it is practical to even paint it. Is it possible or do I just need to live with it?What paint should I use to paint ceramic tile?
Getting good adhesion to ceramic tile with paint is VERY difficult. Generally it will come out looking bad. My best recommendation would be to make due with it.
It is specially designed for tub and tile. I believe you can get it in a tint base and get it tinted to whatever color you please. What paint should I use to paint ceramic tile?
With the proper prep work, most everything can be painted. I would look into 100% solids epoxy. It does not have the odor that many epoxies have, and provide a higher build film that is difficult to scratch.
If the tile is smooth and shiny, the chances of it failing increase substantially. If the tile is not shiny, then the paint can better penetrate the tile, and stick better.
If your tile is smooth, the epoxy will stick, but the floor will become slippery. Therefore, I would purchase a tile that is same in structure as your existing tile and see if you can do a test on it at the paint store.
Check out this blog, as they have many solutions. I did not see any for ceramic tile in my quick review of them, but there may be one.
Good Luck.

You can't paint ceramic tile and expect it to hold up. Especially if it is a floor. Why don't you remove the ceramic tile that you hate and put down linoleum tile - it's not expensive and you can choose the color you like.
Acrylic is recommended for use on ceramic, it shows up bright and lasts longer than other indoor paints. If it's on the floor then try putting a layer over it to keep the acrylic from chipping.
Tough to paint tiles and make the job look good, but whatever you paint should be prepared correctly: Lightly sand, clean, prime, and then paint.
